Let's play a game called, "Is it native?" Here are some signs I'm using to determine if it's native or not: 1. It's growing somewhere I didn't plant a native species 2. It's emerging now, before most of the native perennials 3. It's EVERYWHERE Exhibit A. This pretty groundcover with little blue-purple flowers. It's called Persian Speedwell and, as the name would suggest, it is NOT native to North America. This is one of many species brought to us by Eurasia. Looking for native groundcover? We have several options available for spring delivery at Garden For Wildlife.
