Our Speakers are: Christoph Gasser, Partner, BianchiSchwald LLC (Switzerland) Ciarán Markey, Partner, Browne Jacobson (Ireland) Katharine Stephens, Partner, Bird & Bird LLP (UK) James Trigg, Partner, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP This session will examine the differences in approach taken by the EU, UK, Switzerland and the United States with respect to the doctrine of fair use as applied to the training of AI systems. The panelists will discuss whether the broad and flexible approach of Section 107 of the US Copyright Act may be more suitable to handle this issue than the more specific limitation clauses of European copyright law. The 38th Annual Privacy & Technology Law Forum (PTLF) is in the books! The second day was full of amazing content including state privacy laws, employment privacy, IP rights in AI, data transfers, ad tech, PIAs, building a brand and establishing a privacy program.
