Minnesota officials have submitted the state’s final cannabis industry rules to an administrative law judge for final approval, a key milestone for the market.

A Florida appeals court has tossed a drug-trafficking conviction against a man who was caught carrying 50 vacuum-sealed bags of a “leafy green” substance officials believed to be cannabis, after the man argued that he believed the substance was hemp when he bought it.

New Hampshire House lawmakers have passed the body’s second cannabis legalization proposal of the session. The bill, however, contains fewer allowances than the proposal passed earlier this year, leaving cannabis retail and home grows out entirely.

The DEA is promoting a video contest for an April 20 Instagram campaign called ‘Anti-420 Day,’ which encourages young people to submit short videos and help flood social media with their “anti-THC messages.”

For the second legislative session in a row, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) has vetoed a proposal to implement a regulated, adult-use cannabis industry in the state.

Total cannabis sales in Ohio have now surpassed $2.5 billion, with recent sales driven largely by the launch of the state’s adult-use cannabis industry last year.

The U.S. Sentencing Commission reported that the number of federal charges for cannabis trafficking has hit an all-time low, down 93% since 2012.
