Ben Wong, General Manager of Entasis, Gammon’s specialist fa?ade division, spoke at Construction Industry Council (CIC)’s "Life first - Walk the Talk" webinar on Bamboo Scaffolding Safety and Code of Practice recently. During the event, he shared examples of best practices on safety adopted in Gammon’s sites, as well as the systematic work control workflow for fa?ade installation. In particular, he highlighted the importance of promoting a safety culture and awareness among colleagues and the leadership committed to Zero Harm. At Gammon, we continue to raise our bar in building a safer and better working environment for all construction workers. ?#TeamGammon has recently taken part in a heartwarming elderly voluntary event organized by the Hong Kong Women Development Association Limited in celebration of the Lunar New Year. The event aimed to promote health and wellbeing among senior citizens and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect and give back to our community.??? Our team led a Towel Exercise session, a simple exercise that helps the elderly to strengthen and stretch their muscles and fascia. We also hosted a popular Origami workshop, where the participants learned how to create "Fold" God of Wealth figures using coloured paper, bringing lots of smiles and laughter in the community.??? We are excited to announce the commencement of the Equinix HK6-1 Data Centre Project at 18 Sha Tsui Road, Tsuen Wan. The HK6 project includes extensive A&A Fit-out works, Data Halls Fit-out, comprehensive MEP installations, and UG Fuel Tanks installation. The initial phase will provide 1,000 cabinets, and upon completion, the 17-storey data center will offer a total of 3,550 cabinets, featuring state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology to meet the stringent high-performance data requirements. Data centers are the backbone of Hong Kong's digital economy, facilitating seamless connectivity, data storage, and processing capabilities critical to businesses and innovation. Gammon is delighted to contribute to this vital sector and the enhancement of the city’s IT infrastructure. Last week, we had the honour of hosting Professor Jim Hall, President of Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)?for a thought-provoking exchange session with #TeamGammon in Hong Kong. Professor Hall emphasised the role of ICE as a knowledge-sharing organisation and the increasing integration of physical and digital elements in the infrastructure systems. At Gammon, safety is at the core of everything we do. We are delighted to support the Safety Walk organised by The HK Federation of Trade Union’s Occupational Safety and Health Association. This meaningful initiative aims to promote awareness about occupational safety and raise funds to support families affected by industrial accidents. Over 1300 participants, including #TeamGammon and their families, took part in the walk from Central Pier to Golden Bauhinia Square, Wan Chai, demonstrating their steadfast support to safety and wellness in the workplace.
