We Are Creating An Easy Way To Schedule and Play Sports
关于我们
We are a group of youth sport coaches and parents that believes our current youth sports’ system - by increasing play time - can significantly improve kids’ participation in sports. The time and cost to play are directly impacted by a variety of factors including difficulty in finding games or teams to play access to facilities (& insurance to use those facilities) access to coaches, referees/umpires Which means a lot of kids are missing what sports should be providing- fun, exercise & development. Our Mission We are a sports league that supports all sports which includes a simple and easy-to-use sports scheduling application that provides players a fun sports experience by providing coaches and parents a easy low cost way to increase their player play time while increasing revenue and reducing costs for partner leagues, field operators, coaches & referees (or umpires, judges etc.)

What is the purpose of investing billions of dollars in California Public Schools sports facilities if most families can't afford or get low cost access to use them after school hours or during weekends? https://lnkd.in/g6g7p9Rm

What Good is A Public School Sports Field If You Can't Use It "What good is having the right to sit at a lunch counter if you can't afford to buy a hamburger?"....Martin Luther King Jr. Based on the article below, the same question should be asked for Public School Sports fields -what is their purpose if they are mostly not used and most families can't afford or get low cost access to use them after school hours or during weekends? https://lnkd.in/g65PpqU8

Improving Youth Sports Participation: Lessons from the Digital World Based on the post below, most kids are out of organized sports within 3 years (which means out by age 9 or 10)-which in today's sports culture means out of youth sports completely--and if you ask any coach -our primary competition is not another sport ---its the digital world. Based on my conversations with some of my former players, digital game play offers 3 strong play features * There is no such thing as digital game practice-you learn the game by playing the game *There are no parents in the digital world-kids have full control of their play experience *The digital world is excellent at curating thousands of players to play --24/7 -plus a almost infinite variety of type of play experiences If as parents, we want to significantly reduce the organized youth sports churn, we need to learn the lessons offered by digital play and adapt those lessons to organized youth sports. https://lnkd.in/gVX2d5wi
Growing youth sports participation requires both recruiting and retaining children. Data from the SFIA - Sports & Fitness Industry Association shows sport-by-sport results in this area for youth ages 6-17 during 2023. Read State of Play 2024: https://lnkd.in/dgY9txsg

Unstructured Play is Not Just Good for Kids -its Good for Parents Unstructured play isn't just beneficial for children's development; it also has a positive impact on parents' mental health. The U.S. Surgeon General highlights that encouraging unstructured play is equally important for parents. Learn more about this connection here: https://lnkd.in/g4NjHcPB

U.S. Youth Sports & GamePlay-What We Achieved in 5 Years Gameplay was started by 3 U.S. sports league coaches because we felt the supervised, low play/high practice experience that we were providing was not that fun-plus supervised play comes at a high cost due to field rentals, insurance and parent time. GamePlay has created tools to increase play (vs practice) by providing free information to parents, coaches, leagues, cities and school districts about the teams available to play locally and facilities in California (and soon in the entire U.S.) available for rent in their city---plus an easy to use tool to rent facilities. Also, we provide tools that allow parents and kids to find other kids in their neighborhoods to play sports--which will significantly increase unsupervised play which is better from a child development standpoint and if some our kids want to become elite players by playing a lot - our tools provide a low cost "play a lot" alternative just outside their front door in their neighborhoods. Our next five years goal is the same as the last five years----to create more sports play in your city so that our kids grow into happier and healthier adults.

How Playing Two Sports Helped Kobe Bryant Become an Elite Basketball Player "Upon receiving the ball you already have to have a good idea of what you're reading in front of you and what the next move is. And also the structure; they taught me at an early age how to play in triangles and how to utilize space, which wound up helping me tremendously in basketball as well. I loved the idea of how quickly the ball moves and how quickly you have to process what's moving right in front of you to make decisions." Activate to view larger image,

Cultivating Elite Players Through Unstructured Play -Joe DiMaggio Joe DiMaggio is one of the most iconic baseball players in history which included leading the Yankees to 9 World Series championships in 13 seasons with a lifetime batting average of over .320. What is particularly remarkable was until he started playing for the San Francisco Seals and Yankees by age 17-Joe's only play was with his friends on San Francisco streets, parking lots or an asphalt park which sometimes included rocks for bases and bicycle tape for balls ( and sliding ) Lefty O'Doul, Joe's first real coach at the San Francisco Seals said the best thing he did as Joe's coach was to leave Joe alone. In other words, DiMaggio's high baseball IQ, instincts and love of the game were developed in unstructured sandlot and pickup games with his friends -and coaching, manicured fields and structured team play augmented (but did not create) the elite skills that were developed by playing hours everyday with his friends in San Francisco
