2023 was a BIG year for Game Nerdz! Thanks to the amazing people who make up our team, both the e-commerce and brick-and-mortar sides of our business experienced their best year ever. Here are just a few accomplishments we’d like to highlight: We opened a brand new brick-and-mortar location in Allen, TX, our third store after Wylie and Mesquite. Opening its doors in November, Allen was designed from the ground up to be a modern and welcoming place for new and seasoned gamers alike. We’ll soon begin renovating our Wylie location to increase its size and update its design to match Allen. Nerdz Day, our biggest sale of the year, had record participation. Approximately 200,000 unique visitors accessed the site on Nerdz Day, and about 30,000 orders were placed (a 50% increase over 2022.) Despite the increase in orders, the warehouse team fulfilled them twice as quickly as in 2022! The addition and development of our marketing team led to new marketing and content initiatives. We’ve focused on showing our customers a behind-the-scenes look at our operations through videos and pictures on social media, increasing brand trust and loyalty. We also rolled out multi-channel media offerings, publishing high-quality live and fully-produced tabletop content on YouTube, Twitch, and social media platforms. Finally, we ended the year with a truly EPIC party to celebrate our awesome team with karaoke, caricatures, and delicious food.
