Today, Judge Mark Henry joined our Director Lance LaCour, CEcD, MSED Castle Biosciences, Inc. for the groundbreaking ceremony of their new corporate headquarters in Friendswood, Texas. The state-of-the-art facility, which will span 80,000 square feet on a 23-acre campus, represents an exciting new chapter not only for Castle Biosciences but also for our entire community. Judge Henry expressed his pride in welcoming Castle Biosciences to their new home, highlighting the company’s commitment to innovation and its investment in local economic growth. The headquarters will include collaborative spaces, a fitness center, and amenities designed to enhance employee well-being—reflecting Castle’s dedication to creating a supportive and productive work environment. Congratulations to Castle Biosciences on this milestone achievement! We look forward to seeing the positive impact this facility will have on our region and the healthcare industry.

Updates from the Texas Economic Development Conference! I had the privilege of attending the Site Readiness discussion today, where we explored strategies to ensure Galveston is fully project-ready. It’s inspiring to connect with leaders from Galveston County County of Galveston Economic Development Department and Texas City Texas City Economic Development Corporation as we collaborate on making our region more attractive for development and investment.
