Today we recognized the end of Diksha’s 6 month co-op internship through a celebratory lunch. Diksha spent 6 months working with our estimating and project management teams learning how to craft RFI’s, complete quantity takeoffs, process submittals, solicit and review quotes, and effectively communicate with subs and suppliers. Thank you for your hard work this year and for helping Gallo Construction enter 2025 with the largest backlog of work in company history! We are looking forward to continuing to grow the business in 2025 as we tackle complex infrastructure work and continue to strengthen our team. With over 40 million worth of hard-bid municipal work captured in 2024 including school renovations, pre-engineered metal buildings, water/wastewater treatment plants, structural rehabilitations, site work contracts, and utility improvements, we enter 2025 hungry for more work and more skilled staff and craft.

Welcome aboard, gentlemen! We are proud to introduce our three newest team members this month. From right to left: Jake Parsons: Our new Heavy Civil PM who will be managing the Lloyd Wastewater Treatment Plant, Cold Springs Water Treatment Plant, and MVP Arena Structural Framing Repairs projects that are all kicking off this month! Joe Turley: Our newest member of our accounting team! Joe will be assisting our controller with all accounting related tasks. Bill Swarthout: Our new Building/General Contracting PM who will be managing the Green County Visitors Center and Empire State University Exterior Restoration projects, along with assisting our pre-construction team this winter in capturing more work.

The top slab has been poured at the Maybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant. Gallo Construction self-performed the concrete work to create a cast-in-place concrete channel which will house the new UV disinfection system manufactured by Trojan and supplied by GA Fleet.

Ongoing work at the Schenectady Community College bio-laboratory! Installation of the new structural steel is complete.

This photo shows the ramp for the new 3,000 SF salt containment building that is nearing completion during phase one of the Fort Ann DPW project. This project began this summer and has a demanding timeline requiring expedited construction of a brand new 23,000 SF building for the Town of Fort Ann Department of Public Works.

In June a high-performance coating was applied to the west basin at the Watervliet Filtration Plant. Flocculator installation is underway. Gallo is preparing to startup the second tank as this project nears final completion.

Gallo Construction broke ground this month at the Maybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant in Orange County, NY. This cast-in-place concrete foundation will support a split-face CMU building with a cast-in-place interior channel which will house the new Trojan UV disinfection system provided by GA Fleet.

Demolition of the old aerator step at the Watervliet Filtration Plant was completed last week as we prepared coat the second flocculator basin. Clean cuts and ready for a coating! We will be installing our second flocculator after the coating work is completed and the tank will be ready for startup!

Quality work completed by Gallo at the Clifton Park Memorial this winter. As the summer kicks off and the busy season is upon us there's no better way to start sharing our projects than to start with one of our first projects completed in 2024. Here's to many more! #Construction #CapitalRegion
