My journey began with a Crohn's disease diagnosis. It kick-started a passion for understanding the intricate relationship between food and health. Doctors initially told me that managing my autoimmune disorder was beyond my control. However, post-surgery, I embarked on a quest to find alternative approaches. Adopting a gluten-free diet marked a turning point, helping relieve my symptoms. This experience led me to a food tech startup, where I encountered a significant gap in the industry. Despite claims of health-focused offerings, inaccuracies in allergen labeling were everywhere. Diving deeper, I discovered the root cause: a lack of efficient systems for digitizing kitchen data. This realization inspired me to create a culinary resource planning tool, which eventually evolved into Galley. My health challenge has transformed into a mission to improve culinary operators' and consumers' health and well-being through the power of technology.
