Our own John Griffin, Senior Manager of Emergency Preparedness, had the privilege of visiting Histria Shipmanagement S.A.'s newest addition to their fleet! This vessel, built entirely in Romania, will join the fleet in September 2025, proudly sailing with an all Romanian crew. We’re honored to witness the dedication and craftsmanship that went into creating this ship and look forward to its journey ahead!

On October 30th, our very own Marty Mueller represented Gallagher Marine Systems as Resolve Marine Group marked its impressive 40th anniversary with a celebration in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The event offered a tour of Resolve's newly refurbished warehouse facilities and Maritime Training Center, with over 60 attendees from across the industry. Present were marine services providers, cruise lines, yachting organizations, the U.S. Coast Guard, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and other key players in the field. Attendees got an inside look at Resolve’s 40,000-square-foot warehouse stocked with mobile salvage and emergency response equipment, plus Resolve Maritime Academy’s dedicated training vessel. Joe Farrell III, CEO of Resolve, proudly thanked the guests and gave a heartfelt shoutout to their 350+ employees worldwide for their ongoing hard work and dedication. We’re honored to have been part of this celebration and look forward to more milestones with our maritime partners!??

On October 29, GMS hosted a Table-top Exercise (TTX) designed specifically for our Fishing Vessel compliance partners at The Westin Hotel in Seattle, WA, complete with a Regulatory Compliance update. The day was filled with valuable discussions, creating opportunities for our compliance partners to share insights and lessons learned. On October 1st and 2nd, Gallagher Marine Systems (GMS) successfully facilitated the Savannah Spill Response Corporation’s (SSRC) annual training and exercise, supporting OPA 90 National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (NPREP) requirements. This exercise featured realistic scenarios designed to meet all 15 NPREP objectives and their core components. Participants included SSRC member facilities, affiliated organizations, and local, state, and federal port partners working together to ensure top-notch preparedness in maritime spill response. Our Scott May just returned from the annual Crisis Management Seminar (CMS) hosted by Klaveness Ship Management (KSM), GARD, and the Norwegian Training Center. Held from September 24-26 at the Lanson Place hotel, the seminar focused on essential topics like communication, leadership, and human behavior in crisis situations.?The event included a role-play scenario simulating a ship collision near Savannah, GA, which provided valuable hands-on experience for all participants. For this year’s Annual Jack Gallagher Golf Classic, the GMS Family wanted to show solidarity to one of our good friends and colleagues, Steven M. Garcia. During this year’s event, our team wore a color that is symbolic of the cancer Steve is fighting. Steve was not able to join us this year because he is currently undergoing cancer treatments.?For those that don’t know, Steve is our Senior Director of Emergency Response and serves a critical role in ensuring that our QI/IMT capabilities continue to remain at the highest standards in the industry.?More importantly, Steve is an incredibly important part of the Gallagher Marine Systems family.?We ask you to please keep Steve and his family in your thoughts and prayers.?We look forward to having Steve rejoin this event next year.
