I had the privilege of visiting the beautiful country of Malawi with GAIA Global Health. It was inspiring to witness the impactful work GAIA is doing to support local communities and provide essential healthcare to families. The organization's programs are making a significant difference, and I'm proud to be part of such an incredible team.

?? We have some great news to share from some of our members! Seed Global Health has been working to address Africa’s #HealthWorkerShortage by investing in long-term training for health workers in Malawi, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Zambia through partnering with each country’s health ministries. Seed Global Health works alongside their partners to focus on education, practice, and policy to ensure that they have a skilled workforce that provides #DefinitiveCare for those in need. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6JUyREk GAIA Global Health launched its first Elizabeth Taylor Mobile Health Clinic (MHC) in 2008 and began operating these #MobileHealthClinics in remote districts in Malawi with the highest #HIV prevalence to address gaps for Malawi’s rural population who lived too far from a health facility to receive testing or care. Since launching this program, the mobile clinics have now reached 3 million client visits, a significant achievement for the program and its reach. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g52E2x-9 Through a grant provided by the Ipas Collaborative Fund, grantee Pastoralist Community Initiative and Development Assistance (PACIDA) partnered with Ipas to tackle the impacts of #ClimateChange on #ReproductiveRights, working towards making meaningful changes in northern Kenya’s #Pastoralist community. GAIA is honored to work with USAID to provide scholarships to nursing students to help bridge health worker gaps and deliver vital health and HIV services throughout Malawi. We are also excited to share our participation in the Nursing Leadership Initiative, a program launched by PEPFAR to continue to align health workforce investments with country priorities and strategies to strengthen the national health workforce that is critical for sustaining the HIV response.
