The plastic industry’s playbook is predictable: delay, distract, and derail real solutions while pushing false ones. Right now, they’re running that same game against #SB54, California’s landmark plastic reduction law. If Governor Newsom’s administration doesn’t finalize and release the regulations by the March 8 deadline, we risk losing a critical opportunity to hold polluters accountable and prevent industry-backed loopholes from weakening the law. The International Zero Waste Workshop just wrapped up in Da Nang, Vietnam!??? ? ? During the weeklong workshop, speakers from across the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam discussed zero waste best practices, waste reduction in residential areas, zero waste school ecosystems, reducing single-use plastics in tourism, and zero waste learnings from the private sector. ?? ? Southeast Asia is home to many thriving reuse and refill systems, and is quickly becoming a global leader in the #ZeroWaste movement.???
