The Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center is a unique public/private collaboration among academia, government, and the private sector. It is designed to meet the growing need for cybersecurity talent by addressing the cybersecurity workforce shortage with creative training solutions while shaping a culture of innovation. The Hull McKnight building is home to certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level programs in information technology, cybersecurity and cyber sciences offered by Augusta University and Augusta Technical College. Training to meet the current and future workforce needs for private industry as well as federal, state, and local government is a key focus in the Georgia Cyber Center’s first building. The Shaffer MacCartney building fosters innovation and entrepreneurship while serving as a hub for technology startups. It also includes leasable space available to firms and organizations supporting the state’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Resident partners can leverage the center’s strategic resources while benefiting from the world-class collaboration between industry leaders, startup companies, academic institutions and federal/state government entities.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene and the resulting widespread power outages, the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center are committed to supporting our community during this challenging time. We are opening our doors to the community in need of a safe place to charge their electronic devices, ensuring they can stay connected with loved ones and access critical information. We can accommodate up to 125 people at a time. Acceptable Items for Charging Include: ? Laptops ? Tablets ? Cell phones ? Rechargeable lights Please bring your own charging cable. Today we hosted 100 students from Georgia and South Carolina high schools from across the Augusta Region for Cyber Georgia STEMfest! Our address is 100 Grace Hopper Lane. Our friends at the National Security Agency recently made available her lecture, “Future Possibilities: Data, Hardware, Software, and People,” it features then Capt. Hopper discussing some of the potential future challenges of protecting information. She also provided valuable insight on leadership and her experiences breaking barriers in the fields of computer science and mathematics. She retired Rear Admiral Hopper in 1986. Check it out:
