#Recap Florida Chapter This week, we celebrated the successful launch of our Florida Chapter at the Tampa International Airport. The event brought together prominent leaders from German and American business communities, local officials, and industry experts, highlighting Florida’s tremendous business opportunities for global enterprises. The newly appointed director of the Florida Chapter, Tobias Borawski, opened the ceremony. “With Florida’s strategic location and business-friendly environment, this chapter serves as a gateway for German businesses entering the U.S. market right here in Florida,” Tobias Borawski stated, addressing an audience eager to strengthen bilateral trade. The inaugural ceremony featured Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Consul General of Germany Christofer Burger, who emphasized the importance of Florida’s historic and growing German-American transatlantic partnership. Attendees included representatives from major German companies operating in Florida, such as Lufthansa and Siemens, alongside local business leaders and members of the GACC South leadership team. Local officials from Pinellas County Economic Development and the U.S. Department of Commerce also joined, further underscoring the collaborative effort to foster economic growth.
