Our kids are getting crushed by the dangers and addictions of social media. High school kids (on average) are spending 8 - 9 hours a day on their phones. It's about time we DISCONNECT to CONNECT! Come join me and Colby Bauer for a family night at the Carry On skatepark, this Thursday, October 10 (in Provo). Gabb for Good and Carry On care about the mental health of our kids so let's put down the phones and drop in for a night of tacos, music and skateboard clinics. We loved engaging with families through science at last night's 10th annual STEM Fest. This free event offered students opportunities to experience science in action. Utah STEM Action Center hosted options to explore all industries and had incredible displays and exciting booths. No mindless cases of "the scrolls" in sight! Gabb for Good and Carry On deeply care for the well-being of youth! Disconnect to connect with your kids at a fun family skateboard night in Provo, Utah Thursday, 5-8pm October 10th. Both our orgs strive to support families and offer the resources for kids to live life to the fullest. Gabb For Good is a charitable community that gives the gift of safe connection to children facing barriers. We do this by crowdfunding cell phone service to pair with kid-safe phones or watches. Then, we match these donations with qualifying applicants. Carry On teaches youth mental resilience skills through the passion and progression of skateboarding. Their new indoor skatepark based in Provo, Utah offers skateboard programming to families. Each time youth participate in programs they are taught about mental health skills based from the field of Sport Psychology. Carry On gives kids a community, strategies for building mental resilience and development in the sport of skateboarding. Come on out for a night to meet like-minded families for tacos, music, skateboarding, and benefit two great causes. #GabbforGood #CarryOn
