Advocating for, connecting, and educating the Asian Pacific American business community in Central Texas
关于我们
The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC)'s mission is to promote Asian Pacific American community and community at large as a catalyst for local and global economic growth through advocacy, connections, and education. Advocacy We engage with public officials at multiple levels: City of Austin, county, state, and federal through our membership with National ACE. At the national policy level, we support increasing opportunities for Asian Pacific American (APA) entrepreneurs, international trade, immigration reform, disaggregation of APA data and workforce leadership. Locally, we advocate on behalf of our members and the APA community at large to assist them with their business objectives Connections GAACC hosts numerous events to foster relationships. These include our marquee events, Ovation and Fall Classic, regular mixers, Connect Forum networking, as well as opportunities to connect with international delegations from Asia. We also frequently refer prospects to our members as well as connect members to opportunities as they arise. Education We offer business and certification workshops at the Asian American Resource Center. Our networking mixers are topical, and we host a number of informational panels with our minority chamber partners. Our member orientations are also opportunities to learn about resources and new regulations that will impact businesses. History

?? Last week’s “Mind What You Consume” event with Kristine Viray Lai, founder of Kasama Tastings, was a delightful and insightful journey into mindful consumption. Attendees enjoyed 3-wine or non-alcoholic wine tastings, learning to see, smell, taste, and rate like a sommelier—all while exploring how mindfulness can enhance our experiences with the things we consume. A huge thank you to Kasama Tastings for hosting this unique and engaging session and to Jazmin Lozano of La Boujee Housewife for providing the delicious charcuterie that perfectly complemented our tastings! ?? It's true - Jerry's speech was remarkable!
Empowerment Keynote Speaker on Storytelling, Personal Branding, and Asian American Leadership // ForbesAPEX Advisory Board // Speaking, Personal Branding, & LinkedIn Coach + Trainer // Little League Coach + Dad
''Wow, Jerry’s keynote speech was nothing short of extraordinary! His ability to balance humility, humor, and heartfelt emotion captivated the entire audience. Through the deeply personal story of his family coming from Korea, woven together with the broader narrative of the collective Asian experience, he brought a unique perspective that was both relatable and empowering. His call to action—encouraging us to find our voice and ‘get loud’—was not just inspiring but a powerful reminder of the strength in embracing our identities and stories. It was a speech that left me feeling moved, motivated, and ready to take action.'' - Wen Zhang, Founder & CEO of INNW Institute Wen sent me the above testimonial completely unsolicited the day after I delivered the keynote at the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce Gala this weekend. As speakers, our job is to put words and tools in the perfect order to deliver the impact and evoke the feelings we want the audience to have. And we really don't know if we were successful either in the short or long run until the speech is given. I'm humbled by the kind words, Wen. Thank you for showing up and also working to get our community loud and advocate for themsevles. Fun fact: we're both Asian MBAs (her from Fuqua and me from Ross) who are both doing extremely non traditional things with our degrees! ?? : Ding Zheng of EventShark ??
