This may be the best car commercial I've ever seen. It captures the essence of what technology can and should bring to society. It's particularly moving to me because it's for the Volvo Cars EX90, the first production vehicle to incorporate lidar as the foundation of its ADAS system, developed by Luminar Technologies. Before we led Luminar's Series A, at G2 Venture Partners, we had dinner with the Volvo CEO to discuss the potential for this technology to drive vehicle deaths to zero. It was inspiring then, but it's far more inspiring to have watched them follow through.
