As Black History Month comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to highlight how some of our team members explored Black history in their own communities. From historic landmarks to meaningful monuments, they took time to learn, reflect, and share the stories behind these places. Check out what they discovered! ?? ?? Freedom Park – Jacksonville, FL The first public space in Jacksonville was dedicated to honoring the descendants of enslaved Africans, known as the Gullah Geechee community. The park recognizes their rich cultural heritage and lasting impact on the region. ?? MLK Drive – Milwaukee, WI A major street in Milwaukee honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This section, located in the heart of downtown, runs through a busy entertainment district and sits across from the home of the Milwaukee Bucks. ?? “Past, Present, and Future” Mural – Charlotte, NC Created by local artists and community groups, this mural tells the story of West Charlotte’s resilience, honors West Charlotte High, and highlights the importance of technology access. ?? Sojourner Truth Legacy Plaza – Akron, OH Located where she gave her famous “Ain’t I a Woman?” speech, this plaza features a life-size statue honoring Sojourner Truth’s impact. ?? St. James AME Church – St. Paul, MN Minnesota’s first Black church, founded in 1863, remains a symbol of resilience and a cornerstone of the state’s Black community. #CelebrateBlackHistory #NewJourneyCelebratesBHM

Job searching can be exhausting. The applications, the waiting, the uncertainty. It takes a toll. But your mental health matters just as much as landing the right role. Here are five ways to protect your mindset while job hunting: ??Set Boundaries Job searching can feel like a full-time job, but that doesn’t mean it should take over your life. Set work hours for applying and give yourself time to recharge. ??Celebrate Small Wins Every application sent, every interview scheduled, every networking call. It’s all progress. Give yourself credit for the effort. ??Stay Connected Don’t go through the process alone. Talk to friends, mentors, or peers. A fresh perspective or a little support can make all the difference. ??Be Kind to Yourself A rejection doesn’t define your worth. Remind yourself of what you bring to the table and keep moving forward. ??Ask for Support When You Need It If the stress is piling up, talking to a mentor, career coach, or mental health professional can help you navigate the ups and downs. Taking care of yourself isn’t just helpful. It’s necessary. What’s helped you stay positive during a job search? Drop your best tip in the comments.
