The FWC had a successful day in Springfield! We're working to get contractors paid 100% and on time! Only Retain for a Reason! IL HB1224/SB74
We got our bill out of committee today! Thanks to Chair Diane Blair-Sherlock and Rep Will Davis for passing retention reform today out of committee to help out the entire Only Retain For a Reason coalition of labor, business and contractors including the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) and Jaemie L. Neely, MPA. We'll be back with a technical amendment, but today we're on the path for a major cash flow boost (maybe $100M annually) for Illinois employers building public projects that won't cost taxpayers a dime.
