How Would You Define Artificial Intelligence? In a world where the term "AI" is thrown around freely, we often assume we all know what it means. But if someone stopped you on the street and asked you to define it, what would you say? I did this experiment recently, asking people from diverse fields for their definitions, and each had to think for a moment before offering their thoughts. To help simplify things, we at JCTM A2C2 developed a handy definition: ______________________________ Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning, reasoning, and self-correction. AI spans sub-fields such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, and expert systems. The ultimate goal of AI is to create systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as understanding natural language, making decisions, and solving problems. ______________________________ This definition, grounded in core concepts, offers clarity in the ever-evolving world of AI.
