We appreciated SuperReturn inviting NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) leader Fiona Murray and our executive director, Andrew King, to host the #NationalSecurity panel on "Venture in Security and Infrastructure" where they covered thematic #venturecapital investing in security and #defensetech, especially in light of the increasingly uncertain geopolitical and macroeconomic environment and importance of #NATO and allied peers like #AUKUS. Happy Veteran's Day to all of our service members. Thank you to all who attended last night for an unparalleled evening of conversation on #NationalSecurity at the iconic #WorldTradeCenter overlooking Manhattan at the #RestorationNationalSecurity Evening. The overcapacity event (and that it ran .. nearly until the following morning) was the perfect setting at this moment in time for such a lively conversation. Everyone at Future Union, and our exec. director Andrew King, want to thank America’s Frontier Fund, AE Ventures and Blank Rome LLP for making it possible. With more than a quarter of the attendees being venture and alternative asset investors, it was a unique night, on all accounts, combined with cutting-edge crucial technology startup founders, government and corporate leaders in from across the country, and even Kiev, with fascinating insights by Brian Streem. As much as we were looking forward to it, it exceeded expectations, due to the stellar group of attendees - far too numerous to catalog - and it was far from a panel-led event as the attendees made it such a success. Appreciate the follow-up article by Caitlin Doornbos and New York Post pursuant to the disclosure of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raid on Hone Capital by the Financial Times and Tabby Kinder, who our executive director Andrew King spoke with earlier noting the dubious history of US investments and obfuscation by Hone Capital seemingly implicated in the FBI raid. This step indicates that Hone, like many other investors, has continued to masquerade as a legitimate venture capital fund while obscuring the noneconomic, deleterious intent, as well as attempting to hide such conduct behind an illusory split of the U.S. and China businesses in recent years.
