The U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) is designing the future force by developing integrated concepts and requirements informed by experimentation and synchronized into Army Futures Command and Army processes to drive persistent Army modernization. The vision for FCC is the establishment of a cutting-edge and distributive center for the exploration of the future that is adept, adaptive, innovative, inquisitive, out-of-the-box, technology-enhanced, closely linked to the threat and technology communities and our Joint and Coalition partners, and dedicated to examining the future operational environment to provide the Army with a path to the future. The Army is revolutionizing gear development without risking Soldiers’ safety… Visualize being able to feel, test, and refine new tech as if it’s already in the hands of Soldiers WITHOUT risking the hand of an actual Soldier. That’s exactly what the ‘Glove as a Glove’ approach is making possible in the development of chemical resistant protective gear for the Army. Instead of waiting for the full product to be completed, teams can now get "hands-on" with new integrated evaluation equipment using a glove prototype that acts just like the real thing. This brings immediate, realistic feedback straight from the field back to developers, making the final product even better. Shoutout to all the innovative minds and teams making this happen! By bridging the gap between concept and reality, they’re accelerating the pace at which Soldiers get access to the gear they need. Curious about how ‘Glove as a Glove’ works?
