Great day at the Future of Computing conference on Wednesday! Stan Boland highlighted the massive growth potential for start-ups across the UK and Europe. The US tech market makes up 37% of the market cap vs. the UK’s 1.9%. One of my biggest takeaways? How deep-tech start-ups can replicate the US approach to building and retaining a strong talent pipeline - because talent is key to success. For start-ups, timing is everything. ? Hire too soon, and it eats runway. ?? Wait too long, and you miss important milestones. From my conversations with leaders, three challenges stand out: ?? Demand for specialist engineers is high. ?? Traditional hiring methods aren’t working. ?? Hiring processes drain resources from their already limited bandwidth. We help deep-tech companies tackle these challenges. Securing business-critical hires in an increasingly competitive landscape. #ChipstartUK #DeepTech #Hiring #TalentStrategy #Engineering #Recruitment #ScalingTech

AI isn’t failing businesses. Legacy infrastructure is. That was my exact thought when Microsoft’s CEO admitted AI isn’t generating real-world value. It was exciting to share HyperCIM’s vision at the Future of Computing Conference! But what stood out even more? The massive opportunity in the UK tech sector, and how HyperCIM is positioned to fill the gap. Right now, AI adoption is stalling because enterprise data pipelines are too slow, creating latency that kills value. HyperCIM is changing that by rethinking how AI integrates with enterprise systems. Removing legacy bottlenecks to unlock AI's real world value. Many thanks to the organisers and partners, Benjamin Wolba, Conception X, IQ Capital, Silicon Catalyst, XTX Ventures, Barclays Eagle Labs, Vaire Computing, Albion Ventures LLC, JOIN CAPITAL, and Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software) The future of enterprise AI needs speed. We’re building it!??

What a turnout for Future of Compute London! Sold out & standing room only. Incredibly energy for startups building in chips, quantum, photonics and beyond. Plenty of challenges as early stage companies build and scale the future of compute in the UK - but more than enough talent and determination to match. ?? ?? Four fantastic Conception X alumni companies pitched - Heronic Technologies (Alexander Montgomerie-Corcoran), Nanomation (Teja Potocnik), Omnibio (David Yacoub), & HyperCIM (Tanya Mangoma) (and were the best of the bunch, if I do say so ?? ?? ) Delighted to partner with XTX Ventures, IQ Capital, Silicon Catalyst, Future of Computing, Barclays Eagle Labs, Vaire Computing, AlbionVC, JOIN CAPITAL & Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software) to launch this in London- can't wait for next year. ????
