We were amazed by the energy at #SFTechWeek and the diverse audience from around the world. Some takeaways from the discussion: ?? The Evolution of Customer Success: Many companies start with customer support when they first acquire customers, but it’s smart to build a customer success team early—even before Series A. One speaker, Andrés, shared that their company’s first hire after Series A was a Head of Customer Success, who later became the CPO. ??From Cost Center to Revenue Center: Customer support is often seen as a cost center, but by transitioning to customer success, it can become a revenue driver. Customer success integrates sales, product, and engineering to ensure customers are successful—because when your customers succeed, your company succeeds too. ?? Will AI Replace Customer Service and Customer Success? Opinions were split: Some speakers emphasized that human relationships are irreplaceable in sales and customer interactions, while others saw AI reducing human headcount and creating leaner go-to-market teams. One attendee captured it perfectly: “I can’t wait for AI to replace my tedious tasks so I can spend more time building relationships with people.” ??
