We are looking for judges and volunteers for our 2024-2025 Regional Competition coming up on January 11th, 2025! STEM professionals are encouraged to sign up to be a judge at this year's competition. Judges will evaluate the students' projects and play a crucial role in encouraging young minds. Over three months, students (Grades 6-8) work as a team with an educator and volunteer mentor to research and write an essay addressing this year's topic, build a model of their city using recycled materials; and present their city before a panel of judges. Along the way students apply math and science concepts to real-world problems, flex their problem-solving skills, develop good teamwork habits, explore engineering and its many career options, and become better citizens.
