Our journey in developing AI and robotics technologies has led to the creation of advanced technologies enabling our robots to excel in various tasks across different domains. - At the application level, humanoid robots prove to be invaluable in specific environments, offering substantial assistance. - On the technology front, addressing the most challenging problems in creating humanoid robots yields technology that significantly benefits various industries and technical domains. - More importantly, we are delving into fundamental issues surrounding intelligence, particularly embodied intelligence. After a very successful IEEE RO-MAN 2024 in Pasadena, California, USA, finally, I got the chance to write down some words for an incredible journey as the General Chair with a fantastic team of 50 co-chairs, invited speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners. I am very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with renowned leaders and pioneers in artificial intelligence and robotics like Maja Mataric, Selma ?abanovi?, Hisato Kobayashi, Kazuhiko Kawamura, and our past general chairs. Their invaluable feedback and experience paved the way for our success. This year, we have over 500 researchers, professors, and engineers from the world attended our conference in person, setting a new record for our community. The dedication and hard work of the team shone through with 18 diverse tracks, including plenary speeches, oral and poster sessions, industry-academia executive panel session, STEM activities, and social events, fostering insights, connections, and future collaborations with the researchers, professors, engineers, students from the world. I still cannot believe that we managed nearly 100 sessions at the convention center. We fulfilled the promise to build a inclusive community for broader diversity, engagement, and excellence. In the rapid evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, the focus on creating human-level intelligence through embodied approaches is paramount. The synergy between human and machine intelligence, leading to trustworthy and valuable societal contributions, remains crucial. We are not copying a word. We are creating a new world with intelligence build by we humans. I am very proud to be part of a community that drives innovation and meaningful progress!
