Fused MCP is out! ?? Open-Source MIT license. ?? Please give it a spin and share your thoughts! ?? https://lnkd.in/eagjKqjD
MCP for data scientists from Fused! Want an easy, fast way to connect your Anthropic Claude to your data and functions? This #MCP server lets you talk to your data through your own Python functions. https://lnkd.in/gez54_Rc For the Fused team it took an average of 6 minutes to run end-to-end. Comment with how long it took you to get results! Shout out to the Fused team for quickly building this

I went to a Geomob event in London in January and really enjoyed connecting with the local GeoTribe. Ed and Steven have developed a great model. Glad we can try it in SF and happy to be partnering with GeoMeetup to do it. And, thanks also to Fused as an additional sponsor (in addition to the folks listed above). Hope to see you there.
GeoMeetup x GeoMob: A Night of GeoInnovation in San Francisco! We’re beyond thrilled to announce that?GeoMeetup?is teaming up with?GeoMob, the legendary European geospatial meetup group, to bring their amazing event style to?San Francisco?for the very first time! Mark your calendars for?April 15, 2025, because this is going to be a night to remember. What’s a GeoMob-style meetup??It’s the perfect blend of learning and socializing — a relaxed forum where we explore geoinnovation in all its forms. We kick off the evening with a lineup of?short, engaging talks?(10–15 min each) from some incredible speakers, followed by a lively?Q&A session. Once we’ve fueled our minds with ideas, we’ll head to a nearby pub for some?#geobeers?(on the house, thanks to our awesome sponsors!) and keep the conversation going. Space is limited! Sign up early! Only 60 people will be able to attend! Event Details: ???Date:?April 15, 2025 ???Location:?Meta SF Office, 250 Howard St, San Francisco, CA 94105 ???Doors Open:?5:30 PM for mingling and setup ???Talks Begin:?6:00 PM sharp ???Afterparty:?Nearby bar for sponsored drinks and informal networking Speakers include: Peter Black, Bootstrapping with Geo on the Cheap A representative from Meta Someone from Google …More to be announced soon! GeoMob has been running these incredible events across Europe since 2008 — from London to Lisbon, Berlin to Barcelona — and we’re honored to?host their first-ever San Francisco edition. Let’s show them how much energy and innovation the Bay Area geospatial community brings! Whether you’re a student, a startup founder, a researcher, or just someone who loves maps and location tech, this event is for you. Come for the insights, stay for the community. ?? ?????Estimate fire risk for Overture Buildings and Places Chris Amico from MuckRock Foundation shows how he combines Overture Maps Foundation data with wildfire perimeters to analyze risk to buildings and businesses. He shows how you can visually inspect the results and create integrations to easily enrich your own data. ???Read: https://lnkd.in/gfS3wdzQ ???Watch: https://lnkd.in/gGMG_iHU

?? Conversational AI, like open-ai's chat.com is becoming a bigger part of our lives every day. As data scientists how do we measure user satisfaction? It is somewhat nuanced but vital to quantify - i would argue its not the same as engagement. Thinking about this human-computer interface, this "flow of conversation", how do we measure it? It got me thinking about its 'shape' (in some abstract embedding space native to the LLM). Because will use these tools FAR beyond simple tasks like "turn on the lights"; the ai will potentially become our constant companion. Conversations will be longer and richer, we need to figure out what signals are associated with a deeply satisfying interaction. There are simple ways to capture some of the shape of the conversation, e.g. the length of the thread... the movement of the center of mass of the ai thread and your own, do they converge? Is the ai teaching you or learning from you, does your mass center move towards it or vice versa? Do you find yourself misunderstood? Literally moving in circles? I also like what i call the Spaghetti Index as a measure of net flow ??? #chatgpt #openai #datascience #llms

FSQ Places Joined with Overture Buildings Someone just asked me how to join Overture buildings with places so that the building with have POI attributes. For this, I decided to use the buildings with FSQ Places. In the video I show building footprints with all the places, then I demonstrate that I filled the footprints with H3 cells. And finally I show the points that overlap with those building H3 cells. The places data now has a new attribute: a corresponding Overture buildings GERS ID. There may be better solutions but this is a fast way to assign POIs to Overture buildings. Fused

Fused Apps now support H3! Your workflows can index, (re)aggregate, and visualize hexagonal data, all in the browser. And because our change was contributed back to open source, anyone using Pyodide for in-browser Python can now use H3 too. This is just one part of this week's update to Fused Apps, including tab completion support and more updated packages.

???Optimize parcel delivery logistics Antonius Moosdorf shows how GLS Studio is building the next generation of internal tooling to power operations logistics. He created a Data Science workflow to run dynamic H3 aggregations to streamline the design of parcel delivery areas. This helps visually modify delivery routes based on volume to help drivers optimize their time. ???Read: https://lnkd.in/eJzXVAke ???Watch: https://lnkd.in/gRPwxFsU
