We are thrilled to announce that James C. Owen, the Chief Engineer for Nuclear Weapons at Los Alamos National Laboratory will be joining Fuse as President of Fuse Federal! Los Alamos' heritage stretches back to the Manhattan Project, and James will be working on what many consider humanity's next Manhattan Project: unlocking clean and abundant fusion energy. James will focus on expanding the company's radiation services for government customers while also contributing to Fuse's overall?strategy?for commercializing fusion energy technology.

Fuse?is delighted to announce that G Craig Vachon has joined us as Chief Business Officer! Craig brings deep experience and a unique perspective to our team. From writing his first business plan at 12 to founding and selling a company to a Japanese firm at 25, his entrepreneurial spirit began early. He went on to be part of the management team at a telecom company that sold to AT&T for $24 billion, which was foundational to every role that followed. With a global mindset shaped by living in 7 countries across 3 continents, combined with his company building experience, Craig has learned the utmost importance of hiring and developing exceptional teams, shared values, and great communication. Over the last 13 years, he has invested his resources and energies into assisting founders and small teams of startups to solve important, world-impacting problems. Beyond a financial investment into Fuse, Craig is investing his full-time efforts to drive the world’s acceleration to fusion energy. Welcome aboard, Craig! We’re grateful to have you as part of the Fuse team!?

Excited to share a snapshot of one of our team members in action,?Sophie Faliero! ? Sophie joined Fuse this year as a fusion engineer bringing her passion for clean energy to our team. Here she is, doing meticulous early morning?circuit?soldering?for one of our?projects. A recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in Energy Engineering, Sophie also was a standout varsity athlete on the women's rowing team. We don't just ask people why they joined Fuse, but why they stay. Sophie's answer:?"I get to do valuable, hands-on work alongside an incredibly intelligent and driven group of people. It’s rare to find an opportunity where right out of school I'm trusted and encouraged to take on major roles in the development of our technologies." The Fuse team hosted Representative Bergman yesterday at our radiation facility and HQS in San Leandro, CA. As a retired United States Marine Corps Lieutenant General, there was quite the camaraderie with the Fuse team members who are former Marines! This also was a great opportunity to share with Rep Bergman and his staff how radiation testing and fusion will play a crucial role in strengthening national security. Thank you Representative Bergman for the visit and for your service!
