Fuquay-Varina Chamber Member Story Of Impact - Consistency In Networking Can Lead To Results: Leapfrog Landcare "As you know, I started plugging back into the FVCOC after you came on board. Last year I didn't make it to all of the AM/PM networking events, but I made it to the bulk of them. We also hosted the Biz exchange breakfast in June or July. We know the Chamber is about more than just drumming up new business. But, we have to honestly say that most everyone there is hoping to drum up some new business. With that said, even with coming to almost everything throughout the year we had not really seen any actual work come from the Chamber, except for us doing the grounds of the chamber and 1/2 of that we weren't truly making money because we bartered it out. When we hosted the Biz exchange breakfast I met someone on the HOA board of a newer community. A couple months later we were asked to provide a quote to them. A couple more months passed by and we had not heard anything. While all that time was passing, I kept networking. The last Biz exchange breakfast of the year someone else came up to me and said that they needed a quote for a project. Quite frankly, 12 months of networking produced 2 really good leads. Well, they both ended up saying yes they want us to do the work that we quoted and was a huge revenue boost for us! Not bad for showing up once a month and saying Good morning, my name is Greg with Leapfrog. We are about a month away from our 1st Annual Next-Gen Entrepreneur Day at the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, March 22nd. This will be held from 10am-2pm This will be an event to highlight our local children and teen entrepreneurs. Elementary, Middle, and High Schools in the Fuquay-Varina area.
