YouTube is rolling out exciting new updates to YouTube Studio, giving creators more tools to understand content performance and better connect with their audience. Here’s what’s changing: ???First, the "Content" tab in YouTube Studio is getting a major refresh. Now, creators can view metrics across all content formats (Videos, Shorts, Live, and Playlists) on separate shelves, making it easier to track performance and gain insights by content type. With Shorts generating 70 billion daily views, this update allows creators to see how Shorts impact their overall channel growth, as viewer demand for short-form content continues to rise. ??Another key update is to the "Comments" tab, now renamed "Community". This change adds a more detailed overview of audience interactions, including a new “Community Spotlight” to highlight and engage with the most active viewers. Also, with improved AI suggestions for comment replies, creators can interact more seamlessly, directly from Studio, without needing to switch to the YouTube app. ??YouTube is also testing AI-generated content summaries on select English videos, offering viewers an additional way to explore video content. Additionally, a new interactive chatbot is being introduced on desktop, allowing creators to ask specific questions about features within YouTube Studio, helping them navigate the platform with ease. These updates aim to simplify content management and boost community engagement. ??Here’s the link to the full article for those interested in learning more: https://lnkd.in/dzRPE4rc Have you tried any of these new features yet? ?? YouTube is rolling out hyperlinked comments on mobile, allowing users to click on certain words or phrases in comments to explore related topics. These clickable links, marked with a blue hyperlink and eyeglass icon, initiate a search within YouTube, directing viewers to relevant content without interrupting the current video thanks to the mini-player. Currently, commenters cannot add or customize these links themselves. YouTube automatically hyperlinks words based on related content, and while creators can remove links if they wish, there isn’t yet an option to toggle the feature on or off in YouTube Studio. Some think this feature adds a somewhat “spammy” look to the comment section, while others find it useful for quick access to related content. Have you seen these hyperlinked comments on YouTube? What are your thoughts on the feature?

It’s been a few months since YouTube announced new Shopping features in August 2024, and they’re worth a closer look if you’re a creator looking to maximize earnings. Here’s a quick look at what’s new: ??? Curated Shopping Collections: Creators can now create themed collections from favorite brands (like "everyday essentials" or "capsule wardrobes") and display them in their Store tab, product list, and video descriptions. Currently available in the mobile Studio app, with a desktop rollout coming soon. ?? Affiliate Hub: YouTube’s new Affiliate Hub allows creators to easily browse Shopping partners, discover commission rates, and request product samples. This streamlined resource simplifies shoppable video planning, keeping creators competitive. ?? New Platform Integrations with Fourthwall: Alongside Shopify, Spreadshop, and Spring, YouTube now integrates with Fourthwall, helping creators build stores directly within YouTube Studio. ?? Bulk Product Tagging for Older Videos: Expanded bulk tagging allows creators to monetize high-traffic older videos efficiently. With a 25% increase in shopping-related video watch time and over 30 billion hours viewed in 2023 alone, YouTube is doubling down on social commerce as competition from TikTok Shop heats up. ?? What do you think? How will these new features impact the creator economy and shape the future of social commerce? #YouTubeShopping #CreatorEconomy #Ecommerce #ContentCreators #SocialCommerce #InfluencerMarketing
