There are 8 billion heads on the planet. That’s a lot of hair; and a lot of different hair types. Call us crazy, but we think it takes more than just one or two formulas to please all of those unique individuals. We’re throwing out old approaches and old products—products that smell the same, look the same, and are made for the same people, with the same goals in mind. With Function of Beauty, you decide what goes into your formula (and what doesn’t) and what you get out of it.
Our Factory
When we launched in 2015, we realized that the only way to create customizable beauty products at scale was to find a fully operational production facility that fit our needs. Tasked with a seemingly impossible challenge, we went ahead and built our own state-of-the-art factory from the ground up in Catawissa, PA (our co-founder’s hometown), where all of the filling equipment was designed, built, and coded in-house. To this day, there is still nothing comparable to it anywhere else in the world.
Ingredients
No parabens. No sulfates. 100% vegan & cruelty-free. We only use ingredients we feel confident using ourselves, which is why you’ll never find sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or any other potentially harmful toxins or ingredients in our formulas—ever.
