September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, a critical time to shed light on a disease that impacts 1 in 78 women. With about 20,000 new cases and 13,000 lives lost in the U.S. each year, early detection is vital but challenging due to vague symptoms and lack of effective screening tools. We stand with the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance in raising awareness, supporting research, and advocating for early diagnosis. Fulton County proudly proclaims September 2024 as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
?? Honoring our heroes: The Purple Heart, the oldest military award, was established by General George Washington in 1782 to recognize acts of bravery. Since 1957, the Purple Heart Service Foundation has been a beacon of hope, supporting those who have given so much in service. Over the years, the Purple Heart Trail Program has expanded, bringing awareness and benefits to veterans by designating roads, cities, schools, and more. Today, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners proudly designates Fulton County as a Purple Heart County and proclaims September 18, 2024, as “Purple Heart Foundation Appreciation Day.” ?? #PurpleHeart #Veterans #experienceFulton #theFultonway

Each year, the Pianos for Peace Festival brings vibrant, hand-painted pianos to public spaces across Fulton County for everyone to enjoy. After the festival, these pianos find new homes in schools, hospitals, community centers, and more, spreading joy and creativity to those who need it most. ?? Today, we were so excited to join in the celebration of the new Grady Lee + White Outpatient Clinic! The new clinic, which is located at 1000 White Street, SW, Suite 1004 in Atlanta, includes exam rooms, an X-Ray room, and a pharmacy.
