    The best calls don’t feel like a pitch. They feel like a conversation. Here’s a simple structure that actually works: → Intro (60-90 sec) Start with a permission-based opener. Don’t jump straight into the pitch. Get them to engage before you sell. → Hook Make it a dialogue, not a monologue. Highlight the problem so they feel it. If they don’t see the problem, they won’t care about the solution. → Closing The goal is simple: secure the meeting. Don’t oversell. Keep it short and clear. Push too hard, and you lose the deal. Most cold calls fail in the first 30 seconds. Not because of the product. Not because of the pricing. Because the rep didn’t follow the right structure. Fix the structure. Fix your cold calls.     Cold calling works. And it works differently in each continent: Pickup rates aren’t the same everywhere. In some regions, calls get answered quickly. In others, you’ll be lucky if 1 in 10 picks up. You need to adjust your approach accordingly. - UAE: Strong pick up rates. Even if new regulations are in place, cold calling tend to work well on this market. - Europe: Decent pickup rates. Although, stricter regulations and cultural preferences make cold calls hard in some countries. A direct pitch won’t work well. You need a permission-based approach: “Did I catch you at a bad time?” → works better than diving straight in. - Latin America: More potential, with pickup rates around 8-12%. But hierarchy is a real factor. C-levels rarely pick up, so targeting mid-level managers first is a smarter way in. - Asia: Pickup rates range from 8-12%, but calls alone won’t get you far. Business is built on relationships. If you haven’t established some level of trust before calling, expect resistance. - Africa: Harder to pin down, but estimates put pickup rates between 5-8%. What works in one country won’t necessarily work in another. - North America: Pickup rates are low—around 5-10%. Too many spam calls, too many robocalls. If you're not using a local number, your chances drop even further. What to do about it: 1. Use local numbers. People don’t answer calls from numbers they don’t recognize. 2. Adapt to cultural norms. The same script won’t work everywhere. 3. Call at the right time. Tuesdays and Thursdays tend to perform best. Cold calling isn’t just about volume. It’s about knowing where you’re calling and adjusting your approach. Otherwise, you’re just burning dials.

    If your sales reps are still sending cold emails, you’re playing the wrong game. Here’s what to do instead: 1. Hire a top-tier cold email agency. Your reps shouldn’t waste time on high-volume outreach when specialists can do it better. Make sure your sales team works closely with the agency. Reviewing campaigns weekly will improve messaging, targeting, and results. 2. Segment your approach: Tier 2 & 3 prospects → Cold email at scale. Let automation handle volume. Tier 1 prospects → Multi-channel: emails, LinkedIn DMs, cold calls, and ads. High-value prospects need a personalized touch. Block one hour every day for cold calls with Tier 1 prospects. Real conversations drive pipeline. Intro, highlight the problem, secure the meeting, hang up, and repeat. Cold outreach isn’t dead. But the way most teams do it is.
