After last year's success of the FTASA Awards, the committee and I have been inundated with queries on this year's entries. Please start collecting your possible entries to avoid the "lastminute.com" scenario. This will allow more time to assess your entries and highlight the standout features of the print. Entry requirements are available on: https://lnkd.in/d_NZgXux as well as the online entry. While both Labels and Flexibles categories were well represented, the Corrugated category trailed behind in entries. There were some superb entries in innovation and we expect this category to grow substantially. We look forward to showcasing our industry, so please submit!

Thanks to Martin Stewart, Committee Member of FTASA, for tackling this often challenging, and sometimes controversial topic! Martin summarises that "It's time to embrace the future of colour analysis and ensure your packaging truly shines! Let's elevate our standards and make every shade count!" #flexoprinting #flexopackaging #FTASA
The bane of most Graphics designers, Brand Managers, Printers and Packaging specialists has always been colour! Whether it's colour matching, colour consistency, colour intent or 'accepted variation', subjectivity has reigned supreme! Today we have moved into the future and colour consistency is no longer the unicorn in our industry.... ?????????? ???? ???????? ?????????????????? ??????????: ?????? ???????????????????????????????????? ?????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ???????????? ???????????????? Are you ready to unlock the true potential of colour in your packaging? For years, the Pantone Color Bridge Guide has been a trusty tool, but in today's competitive market, good just isn't enough. It's time to talk about spectrophotometers – the game-changing technology that's revolutionizing colour management! Imagine a world where your brand colours are perfectly consistent across every product line, every material, and every print run. Spectrophotometers make this a reality. These advanced instruments go beyond subjective visual assessment, providing objective data that ensures your brand identity remains rock-solid. Here's why spectrophotometers are the future: ?????????????????? ??????????????????: Spectrophotometers measure colour across the entire light spectrum, capturing nuances the human eye simply can't detect. This translates to unparalleled accuracy and consistency, reducing errors and waste. Forget subjective interpretations! ???????????????? ??????????????: Packaging uses diverse materials – metallics, foils, textured surfaces. Spectrophotometers excel here, providing accurate readings regardless of the substrate. Pantone guides? Not so much; they're printed on standard paper. ????????-???????? ??????????????: Imagine catching colour drift during production, not after! Spectrophotometers enable real-time monitoring, allowing for immediate adjustments and minimizing costly reprints. ????????-???????? ??????????????????????: Unlike Pantone guides that fade and degrade over time, spectrophotometers offer consistent performance year after year. They are a long-term investment in your brand's visual integrity. ???????????????? ????????????????????: Strict colour standards are non-negotiable in industries like food and pharmaceuticals. Spectrophotometers provide the precise spectral data needed to meet those requirements with confidence. The Pantone Color Bridge Guide is still valuable for quick references and CMYK previews. However, for professional workflows demanding precision and consistency, spectrophotometers are indispensable. It's time to embrace the future of colour analysis and ensure your packaging truly shines! Let's elevate our standards and make every shade count! #ColorAccuracy #Spectrophotometry #PackagingDesign #BrandIdentity #PrintQuality #InnovationInDesign #ColorManagement #Pantone #Branding #Marketing #Innovation #FutureofPrint #PolyflexPremedia

?????? ???? ???? ?????????? ?????? ???????????????? ???? ??????????? ?? ?????????? ???? ?????????? ???????????? ???? ???????????????????????? ???????????????? The challenge of achieving perfect color matches between proofs and final prints remains one of the most persistent challenges in flexographic printing. Let's explore the critical factors that ensure consistent, accurate color reproduction. ???????????????????? ???????? ?????????? ?????????? The foundation of accurate color reproduction lies in your color gamut - the complete range of colors your printing system can produce. Your proofing equipment, particularly inkjet printers, must be capable of reproducing the widest possible gamut to accurately match Pantone colors. This capability directly impacts your ability to maintain consistent brand colors across different applications. ?????????????????? ?????????? ???????????????????? ??????????????e Implementing robust Color Management Systems (CMS) is non-negotiable for maintaining consistency. These systems serve as the bridge between your design intent and printed reality, ensuring color harmony across various platforms. When selecting a CMS, prioritize solutions that excel in handling overprinting spot colors, as this capability significantly impacts final print quality. ???????????? ?????????? ?????????????????? Moving beyond basic fingerprint tests, developing comprehensive color profiles for your specific equipment configuration is crucial. These profiles should account for: - Ink characteristics - Anilox roll specifications - Plate and screening properties - Press parameters - Substrate characteristics These profiles are embedded in the final proof accurately replicating the final printed result. ???????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????? Precision in color measurement demands spectrophotometric analysis. This scientific approach measures reflected light across the spectrum, providing objective color data. The industry benchmark for acceptable variation - Delta E of 2.0 or less - ensures color consistency that meets professional standards. Regular calibration of your spectrophotometer maintains measurement accuracy throughout production. ???????????????????????????? ????????: 1. Regularly calibrate all color measurement devices 2. Document specific profiles for different substrates 3. Maintain consistent environmental conditions 4. Verify color accuracy at multiple stages of production By implementing these strategies, you'll significantly improve your color matching accuracy and enhance overall print quality. Remember, consistent color reproduction isn't just about technical precision - it's about delivering value and maintaining brand integrity for your clients. #Flexography #ColorManagement #PrintingIndustry #QualityControl #PolyflexPremedia #FTASA #PolyflexCape
