Have you ever noticed this beautiful tree near our building? ?? #KeenBuilding
Happy #FloraFriday from the Red Maple trees (Acer rubrum) blooming on campus now - this one is at the Keen Building! The U.S. Forest Service recognizes the Red Maple as the most abundant native tree in eastern North America. In Florida, the Red Maple is found in nearly every county. In spite of the tree being common some have never noticed that it flowers in late winter. The Red Maple blooms are rather small but are found in clusters which make them more noticeable if you closely at them this time of year. #FSU #FSUFacilities #GroundsAndLandscaping #BuildingExcellence #RedMapleTrees FSU Department of Physics
