Check out FSG and Talent Rewire’s recently published research on unreached employees—and the untapped opportunities for both businesses and employees ?? Key insights: ?? Unreached employees (adults who hold low-wage jobs without clear career paths and are not reached by career advancement opportunities) have an overwhelming desire for career advancement, yet 30% of frontline employees are not applying to these opportunities. ? The benefits of participating in career development opportunities are often unclear, insufficient, or deferred. ?? Frontline employees often don’t feel empowered to participate in professional development because they fear that failure will jeopardize job stability and they lack encouragement from frontline managers, among other factors. Huge shout out to Fay Hanleybrown, Megan Linquiti, Ulises Trujillo Rivera, Kimberly Shin, and Michael Webb for their work on this piece! Read more ?? https://lnkd.in/eGUpTdtr

Today, we’re honored to recognize Olivia Khalili (she/her), Head of Atlassian Foundation, as part of FSG’s International Women’s Day series. Olivia is a leader who exemplifies both determination and adaptability in driving meaningful social change. When asked to share her reflections for this series, she said, “When you have a vision for how you can create impact, move toward it. Most likely, it won't be fully crystallized in your mind, you won't have an official 'green light' or a pot of money to launch it. But meaningful ideas don't arrive to us by accident; they are meant to come alive in your hands.” Olivia’s words are a powerful reminder that leadership requires persistence. The ability to stay focused on impact while being open to new pathways is what makes great leaders, especially for corporate changemakers seeking to advance business objectives and social impact. Please join us today in celebrating Olivia’s leadership and the other inspiring female CSR leaders we’ve featured this month. Who are the women leaders who inspire you? He reminded us to stay focused on what we are for, not against. ? Panelists Debbie O'Brien from PagerDuty and Lakshmi Iyer from FSG, explored how companies are adapting their approaches to social impact, sustainability, ESG, and DEI in response to evolving stakeholder expectations and pressures. ?? Builders went deep in breakout group discussions focused on supporting nonprofits now, collective action for AI and tech innovation in the social sector, and responsive strategy and language pivots. We are grateful to Pinterest for speaking our speakers and Builders for sharing their ideas and solutions to how companies can support resilient teams and communities. #Pledge1 #Builders #CorporateResponsibility
