Every day, children playing outside, farmers cultivating their land, and civilians collecting firewood are killed or injured by mines and explosive remnants of war. In 2023, an average of 15 people per day were victims of explosive accidents due to mines or unexploded ordnance, according to the Landmine Monitor by International Campaign to Ban Landmines - Cluster Munition Coalition (ICBL-CMC).
