In the 21st century, far too many people are trapped in the darkness of sex trafficking and homelessness. Frontline Response, a faith-based non-profit organization headquartered in the heart of Atlanta, serves on the frontlines every day rescuing men and women out of sex trafficking and homelessness and preventing vulnerable children from falling victim. Founded in 2003, Frontline Response began with a heart for the frontlines – always seeking to find a need and meet it. Since incorporating in 2010, Frontline Response has assisted nearly 1,500 victims out of sex trafficking and transitioned over 1,000 men, women, and children out of homelessness. In 2018, the organization added youth prevention to its mission and has provided prevention programming to more than 600 youth facing adversity in overlooked communities throughout Metro Atlanta.

In light of the 2024 Supreme Court ruling that requires local officials to fine or arrest individuals for sleeping and camping in public spaces, Frontline Response and DeKalb County have collaborated to seek a solution. The result is an arrest diversion program that balances the duty to enforce laws with an alternative pathway for unhoused individuals. We were joined by incredible organizations like City of Refuge, Inc., The Same House, A Home For Everyone In DeKalb, Claratel Behavioral Health, PEACE BAPTIST CHURCH, and the Village Impact Fund to celebrate the collective efforts making a real difference for those experiencing homelessness and trafficking in DeKalb County. One of the evening's most impactful moments was sharing that Trader Joe's donated $4 million worth of food, allowing Frontline Response to expand its partnerships with New Life Church and Tucker Methodist Church.
