We're thrilled to share that Frontline Ventures has led Flagright's $4.3M seed round! Led by co-founders Baran Ozkan, CAMS and Madhu G Nadig, Flagright is building an AI-native AML compliance and risk management platform, which currently serves over 50 customers across six continents. We’ve heard time and again how the platform is making a measurable impact on operational efficiency—customers report 98% fewer false positives, 87% less manual monitoring effort, and a 90% improvement in compliance accuracy. Last week, we took the legendary Frontline Pub Quiz to the US ?? We hosted 60 VCs representing 22 funds, but there could only be one winning team—congratulations to the folks at Left Lane Capital on taking home the prize!??? The competition was fierce, but there was one question that no one in the room got right. Think you can crack it? The largest migration of mammals happens each year between Zambia and Congo. Which mammal is it???? Thanks to all for joining—see you next time!

From the moment Steven Collins met Cloudsmith co-founders ?? Lee and Alan in 2019, he knew they were building something special—a cloud-native artifact management platform designed for modern software teams. What they have built over the past six years is now a must-have product, with customers like PagerDuty, Shopify, and American Airlines. Today, Cloudsmith has announced its $23M Series B, led by TCV and with participation from Insight Partners. Frontline is proud to have backed Cloudsmith since its Seed round and are excited to see Glenn Weinstein, ?? Lee, Alan and the wider team reshape the future of the software supply chain ?? We’ve spent the past decade assessing and supporting founders to scale their software businesses into category-leading companies—but SaaS playbooks of yesteryear just won’t cut it in the age of AI. The most successful AI-first companies will need to rethink defensibility, how they will build trust with customers, and where they will meet their users. In his latest article, Dylan Scully breaks down five key questions every founder should be able to answer if they want to compete in the application layer ???? https://lnkd.in/eu-MYv4B

Frontline is delighted to back?Archive in their Series B and partner with Emily, Ryan and the rest of the team as they shape the future of resale. Resale is growing 3x faster than traditional retail, yet most brands have been forced to sit on the sidelines and watch as consumers shift to third-party marketplaces. Archive changes that, enabling brands like New Balance and The North Face to set up and scale their own resale programmes — ultimately driving incremental revenue and improving customer loyalty, while producing less. Archive?already works with many iconic European brands, and we’re looking forward to supporting them as they expand their footprint across the continent ?? Looking for your next role? Archive are hiring! Find their open roles in the comments below ?? https://lnkd.in/gGkXu5Rd

Thanks to all the Amsterdam-based fintech folks who joined us for dinner last night, and to our friends at Curiosity VC for helping to bring everyone together ?? Till next time!
Last night, Will Prendergast and I had the privilege of gathering some of the most interesting #Fintech operators for an intimate dinner in Amsterdam. It was great to share more insights on international GTM and how to crack US expansion the Frontline Ventures way (link to US playbook in the comments). A huge thank you to our amazing co-hosts at Curiosity VC (Herman Kienhuis & Elliot Schouten) and all the fantastic operators and leaders who brought their insights, passion, and energy to the table. If you're building a fintech in Amsterdam and would like to discuss international GTM or attend one of our following events, please feel free to reach out.?

#JPMH this year was one in a kind: #women's #health has taken center stage! Last year, I counted just two events—this year, I was hopping from one to the next. It's so motivating (and heartwarming) to see #investors, #biopharma, #privateequity, and #payors finally prioritizing women's health ?? While those events shed light on under-diagnosis, funding gaps, and access issues, there’s still a massive gap between theory and practice. The people in the room seem to agree, but how do we bring those ideas to reality? I was particularly excited to learn about McKinsey Health Institute's follow-up report that offered clear calls to action: ??????????, ??????????, ????????, ??????????????, and ???????????? ????. Read it here:?bit.ly/3WQbCcn. My personal added highlights: ??a women's health luncheon in Napa Valley - thank you Springboard Enterprises & Snatch Health for hosting. What a peaceful way to start the JPMH madness. ??a beautiful Sunday hike with European health tech founders - great initiative from Frontline Ventures ?? a women's health focused brunch, hosted by our friends from Frame, Evvy, Partum Health - so good to meet so many old & new friends ?? speaking at Open Austria's #femtech panel alongside another Austrian founder, Raoul Scherwitzl from?Natural Cycles° ?? creating an origami wish at SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, hosted by Cathay Innovation What a start to the new year: here's to moving the needle for women's health! ??

As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on some of Frontline’s key achievements over the past 12 months. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to: ?? We've raised and started deploying 2 new funds, backing 12 new companies over the course of the year, including the brilliant teams at StrongDM, Regal.ai, Roboflow and Loadar. ?? We've doubled down on 11 portfolio companies, providing additional support to help them scale their teams, enhance their product offerings, and accelerate their transatlantic expansion. ?? We've also been scaling, welcoming the wonderful Allison Graf, Philipp Werner, and Dylan Scully to the team. ???? And we've released the definitive guide for European founders expanding to the US, packed with strategic advice from our investors and portfolio founders. It covers everything from where and when to land to who and how to hire (link in the comments for anyone who missed it!). As always, we’re grateful for all the brilliant founders, operators and fellow investors we've had the chance to meet and work with this year, and look forward to connecting with even more of you in 2025!???

Frontline is delighted to be backing Ciaran Doherty and the wider team at Loadar in a $4m round, as they modernise freight procurement and management for super-large enterprises. The platform, which reduces logistics costs while minimising environmental impact, is already operational in Europe with plans to expand stateside within the next year.
