Friends of Indy Animals

We can’t do it alone and we wouldn’t want to! We’re proud recipients of a two-year operating grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, one of the few charitable trusts that supports animal welfare causes in their portfolio. A lifelong animal lover, Nina Mason Pulliam was an astute businessperson and compassionate leader, devoting many hours to civic, charitable, and community work. These funds are crucial to keeping our mission alive and funding a better future for pets in need. P.S. - They were also generous supporters of building a new shelter in Indianapolis with a $3 million capital campaign gift!

?? March Shelter Construction Update ?? The ground is thawing, so we started digging! As spring approaches, construction is moving at full speed ahead for our new animal care facility at the corner of Raymond and Emerson. The latest: - We’ve excavated a retention pond so we can use the fill materials to help raise the building pad (no waste around here!) - Soil stabilization is done and we’re actively drilling piers to support the building foundation. - Trenches were excavated around the building perimeter and reinforced steel was installed for the footings. February has been filled with so much love!??? Our ‘Be Our Valentine’ campaign in collaboration with Indianapolis Ballet, Inc. was a lovely success! We’re so excited to share that Kaida and Orwell have been adopted, and Gotti is being fostered through Four-Legged Ranch!
