The Friends of the Heights Foundation, organized by a group of BC alumni and friends, is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt (pending) organization which connects BC student athletes, through the use of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), with charitable organizations for which they have an affinity. FHF allows BC student athletes AND their chosen charities to see the benefit of the student athlete’s NIL. FHF provides stipends for legal and compliant NIL opportunities to the student athletes for their time spent marketing and engaging with charitable organizations in compliance with NCAA regulations and IRS guidelines. The charity receives the benefit of the student-athlete’s time and/or use of the student-athlete’s image. FHF is independent from Boston College, as the University is prohibited from arranging third party compensation for student-athletes and their NIL contracts. It is FHF, not Boston College, that accepts donations and distributes stipends to student athletes for NIL opportunities with charities.

We had a blast promoting the incredible recovery shoes from KANE Footwear last week! Fresh off a USA Hockey gold medal performance at the World Junior Championship, Boston College teammates Gabe Perreault, Ryan Leonard, and James Hagens stopped by to demonstrate some skills and show off their KANE's. Six Boston College Eagles proudly represented USA Hockey in the World Junior Championships in Ottawa, Canada over the Christmas recess. For three weeks, they poured their hearts out for Team USA. Last night, they won the gold medal in a thrilling championship game over Finland. The hockey world witnessed the toughness and character of these young men. Ryan Leonard captained the team, and Gabe Perreault, James Hagens, Drew Fortescue, Aram Minnetian, and Teddy Stiga all had successful tournaments. In fact, Stiga scored the game winner to capture the gold in overtime for the US! Maroon and gold became red, white, and blue for a brief time, and our nation is extremely proud of these Eagles! The goal was set at the start and shattered at the end! We want to thank our incredible Boston College supporters! In just three weeks, the Heights of Giving year end campaign goal was surpassed by a longshot thanks to the generosity of our donors, bringing in well over $2.4 million!
