Our junior board of young professionals at Young Friends of Kids with Cancer raised a record amount at 12 Bars of Charity last month, bringing in *drumroll please* over FIFTY THOUSAND dollars to Friends of Kids with Cancer. This brings their total raised for 2024 to over $115,000 from the fundraising efforts of these extremely dedicated and talented volunteers. ??

Last night, I had the privilege of being a part of the 30th Friends of Kids with Cancer fashion show, a beautiful and hopeful “Willy Wonka” themed night. The fashion show provides a once in a lifetime experience for our sweet kids and families in the St. Louis area undergoing treatment for cancer and blood-related diseases. They spend the day getting the star treatment, with hair and makeup, glamorous outfits they picked out and can keep, and photo shoots. They are truly stars and are so special. Getting to be a model buddy for an adorable, feisty 10 year old made me smile from ear to ear. It was my honor in my last month as Young Friends of Kids With Cancer board president to share the stage with her. Friends of Kids is an incredible charity that changes lives. They help kids to forget their illness for just a moment in time and bring SMILES!! As we approach Thanksgiving next week, I’m feeling grateful for the abundant blessings I have in my life and hope you all do as well. Happy Thanksgiving, support a local charity, and hug your people!
