In these tumultuous times, as Israel grapples with deep uncertainty and tension, the need for connection and understanding has never been more urgent. At Givat Haviva, we work tirelessly to bridge the divide between Jewish and Arab communities, offering hope through education and dialogue. Our latest newsletter highlights our efforts to bridge divides, from the Narratives in Israeli Society program to the Shared Society laboratory. As we celebrate a decade of empowering Arab youth through our Hi-Tech Seeds initiative, we are reminded that education can lead the way to a better future, even in the darkest moments. As the most challenging school year ends, we are immensely proud of our students at the International School for their impressive achievements amidst uncertainty and conflict. Their resilience and success in the IB program finals demonstrate the potential for shared life in Israel. The Jewish-Arab Peace Center's recent conference, "Education under the Shadow of War," highlighted the impact of the war on our youth and the importance of humanist education. Educators from both communities showed true partnership in addressing these challenges. Our Through Others’ Eyes photography exhibition, "Sobering Up," features powerful works by Jewish and Arab youth, offering thought-provoking insights into our complex reality. We invite you to explore their perspectives and support our initiatives for a shared society.
