The stay on FinCEN BOI filings was lifted this week, and a new reporting deadline of March 21, 2025 was set. While this extension offers a bit more time, FinCEN may still adjust the deadline or revise reporting rules—especially for lower-risk entities. With additional Congressional action also in play, uncertainty remains. It seems apparent, though, that companies will be required to report, if only a matter of when. Companies who have previously delayed should consider filing now to avoid last-minute compliance headaches.
