The official opening of our newly expanded facility in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland marks another exciting chapter in our continued growth. As part of the 16,500 sq. ft. site expansion, we also unveiled plans to create 250 new jobs, growing our workforce by over a third by 2026. ? Our expansion in Carrick-on-Shannon comes in response to accelerating global customer demand for next-generation minimally invasive catheters. The team specialize in the design, development & manufacturing of sophisticated and intricate catheters used in electrophysiology, structural heart and peripheral vascular therapies. Freudenberg Group CEO Mohsen Sohi alongside Freudenberg Medical CEO, Dr. Mark Ostwald and Barry Regan, Vice President and General Manager of Freudenberg Medical’s Carrick-on-Shannon facilities officially cut the ribbon. ? Freudenberg Medical employs more than 1,000 people in Ireland, operating from a combined 200,000 square foot manufacturing footprint at facilities in Co. Leitrim and Galway. Together, our Irish operations manufacture more than 16 million complex catheters each year, serving a global customer base.?
