Honoring Congressman Raúl Grijalva:?A Champion for Southern Arizona The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas has had the honor of spending the better part of two decades working closely with Congressman Raúl Grijalva to advocate for projects that helped the produce industry in Southern Arizona.?He knew the importance of helping fresh produce distributors, a major source of employment and economic development in Southern Arizona. Congressman Grijalva always stood up for his community through his many efforts to push for improvements to our ports of entry, fighting for additional Customs and Border Protection officers that facilitate to flow of trade that helps our economy, pushing back against protectionist forces that harmed Arizona businesses, and fighting for funding for important road and water infrastructure in the region. His wise counsel has guided many important initiatives through the hurdles of Washington, DC. The FPAA sends its condolences to the friends and family of Congressman Grijalva.?His passion and leadership will be missed.
