Our 2023 Sustainability Report is here! This report highlights the many sustainability and community-related achievements we made as a company last year. Most notably, we achieved our SBTi-approved scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions goals seven years early. Our original goal was to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 emissions by 27.5% by 2030 against a 2019 baseline. Since we already met that goal, we’ve increased our reduction goal to 30% by 2030 compared to 2019. We’re incredibly proud of the entire global Fresh Del Monte team — from the fields to the ports to our offices — for their dedication to operating sustainability and their hard work that got us here. Vending machine options usually leave a lot to be desired, but that’s not the case in Hong Kong. Our Hong Kong operations recently installed a Pinkglow? pineapple vending machine near its offices. Located in a high foot traffic area near Hong Kong’s most popular shopping district, the vending machine allows us to test a retail concept in an innovative way. Would you buy a fresh pineapple from a vending machine??

The conversation surrounded consumer taste preferences, what traits growers are looking for in new varietals, new technologies being used, and the opportunities for innovation in Asian markets.
