For Aerostar (Aerostar International LLC), that science happens miles overhead in the stratosphere where their high-altitude balloons play a critical role in first-responder communication. Our friends from the City of Faulkton were recently awarded the Peter Norbeck Excellence in Tourism Innovation Award—South Dakota's top tourism prize—at the 2025 South Dakota Governor's Conference on Tourism in Pierre. We had the pleasure of partnering with Faulkton's team on their "Faulk-ton of Fun" campaign, which encourages visitors to get curious about all the Carousel City has to offer—from mural gazing, to pheasant hunting, to exploring the town's historic pink mansion.
