Meet Rebecca Duhamel (Becki), Fresh's Sr. Procurement Manager, who manages the high volume of parts and materials our hardware team needs to create innovative products. Becki received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain Management and a minor in Accounting from Central Washington University. She then went on to support and lead procurement at companies like Rad Power Bikes, Echodyne, and Boeing before joining Fresh. When developing a custom product, sometimes off-the-shelf componentry doesn’t fit the design vision. Our team of industrial designers were working to materialize a deadfront display projecting through to the exterior of a product. We had to tackle issues like plastic opacity, light intensity, light bleed, and surface curvature—all while keeping costs in check.
