I started off with a request for finding clarity in my own feelings regarding my professional life, because after spending 20 years doing the job I loved utterly, I found myself in an autopilot mode, dragging and lost. Those were new feelings for me and I was torn between “Is it time to go bigger and let the world know about me and my business” and “Is my time gone and the career change must be made”. As you can imagine, going big while feeling not motivated by your job anymore is not an intuitive thing to do. So is dropping the activity that was my happy place, my income and my only career back in the day. Marine with her extraordinary talent to ask a right question and give you just enough time to answer it, could unlock things that I would never have accessed on my own. Only with her help could I discover that with my never ending desire to learn and improve, I was over sharing my skills and knowledge and I was surpassing the services my clients actually paid for. And I didn’t see it, because it was so natural for me to share everything I knew with each client, going far beyond what specialists in my field would normally do. And although it may take these relationships to the levels of bigger trust and loyalty, they may as well become a trap where you slowly but surely lose self esteem due to constantly being in unbalanced relationships. After realizing a completely not obvious truth (it’s really not easy to spot in the money based relationships), I operated a turn where I drew a line and limited myself to only give what is agreed upon. It does not mean I won’t share my knowledge anymore. It just means that it must be presented as a separate product, requested separately and be paid for separately too. It was a huge breakthrough for me and a clarity I was needing so much. I was so close to say goodbye to 20 years of happy career, and now I got my wings back. Thank you Marine so much! I was truly blessed to have met you and be guided by you! Your comforting presence, your smart navigation and your faith in me, gave me my life back and offered so many insights that will continue supporting me in my future endeavors".
